Vitamin Time!

I am running low on my vitamins.
I have been taking random brands of vitamins since surgery from which ever store I happen to be in.
I ALWAYS get the chewies for both a multivitamin and calcium.
I am just tired of the lack of options. I went to my trusted source...Lap Band Gal. I raided her blog to find out what she uses.
Came up with 3 different brands she had talked about.

I ended up buying:

Multivitamin from Unjury. I liked how it was for the band, and all the reviews say how great it tastes. The benefit for me was it only requires you to take 1 tab a day. Many of the chewy vitamins I have been taking I have to take 2 to 4 a day! That is craziness! I'm excited to get these in the mail!

So that was the easy choice. 

I had a harder time choosing the calcium that I wanted to buy. I ended up choosing the Bariatric Advantage 500mg Chewables. I liked that you can chew them or have them dissolve in your mouth. I liked that it came in chocolate. Also liked that I only have to take 2. Some of the others you needed to take like 4 a day. That is just too many times to remember. 

So anyone tried these? Thoughts? Comments? Likes or Dislikes? Tell me what you use!

Weekend Adventures

Today has been beautiful outside! Windows open, breeze coming in!

My husband, Zoe, and I also caught some outdoor activities of course!

Earlier this afternoon we hit the trails for some bike riding! I think we ended up riding 9 miles.

After I saw this picture my husband took, I really couldn't believe this was what my body really looks like...cRaZy! Last year this time I was still waiting to hear insurance approval! Life has changed so much compared to last year this time!

And I made it up this HUGE HILL that I have always had to walk my bike up because I just couldn't do it, TODAY I COULD! I was out of breath and moving slow, but I rode up the whole thing without stopping or walking! NSV!

So before we went out for the bike ride we were working on a motorcycle project. I assisted in changing the pipes. We had to get louder ones, ya know! I even used a real ratchet and everything! I am a handy girl like that!

I think I did a great job helping!

Then to wrap our night we took Zoe out for a wooded walk, she enjoyed it very much!

Dan is now outside fertilizing the yard and I put bird food out earlier. Finally a beautiful weekend!

Oh Yes! It's nice!

Today was officially nice out! It was in the 60's and today was the first day I was able to go out and run with capris and a t-shirt on! I did not have to be bundled in 372 layers of clothing, hat, and mittens! This was so exciting I had to capture the moment. This was before my 2-mile run. As you can tell by the smile on my face and lack of sweat.

I just so happen to have random frames laying around the house for photo opportunities just like this. No not really, I have an antique booth. I have to work there 1 day a month and today was the day. Can't work for the day and not buy at least 1 thing to bring home! So today was a vintage yellow frame. Will surely find something cute to do with it to hang on the wall. Will have to browse Etsy and Pinterest. 

Last Saturday we had a wedding to attend. Was wearing an aborbs dress that I found. It was very vintage inspired and I loved it!

Upset Comment

I just finished reading a blog that I visit frequently. I know many others visit it frequently as well. 

It was a great post about a personal thought and success. 

What really bothered me was someone posting a negative comment about the content of the post. Saying "blogger" needed to think before posting. (I'm sure many of you have seen this).  

These blogs are our personal journey.  Like our diary of thoughts.

I feel each one of us have the control to post what we FEEL that day. 

Whether it is funny, sad, negative, or positive. 

That is what keeps it real.

It is very easy if one does not like or agree with someones just not read it. 

It really is that simple.

10 Thingers!

1. I started a new job this week. Have been in orientation all week until today. It was my first day actually starting to train at my job! So far, so good!
2. It is seriously snowing again...A LOT! When is this going to end and be spring...I just don't understand this. This is what global warming is I guess...
3. Debating on running outside in this weather...or just doing something inside today..
4. I am a little ashamed to say I have been recently obsessed with reading 50 Shades of Grey. Okay, I thought I would never read it. One of my old co-workers just thought I could no go on living without reading this. Downloaded it on my iPad and life has just not been the same since. I can't put it down. I am now on book 3 so it is nearing the end. I feel like I now have a personal relationship with these characters so I know it will be rough when it finally ends. Does this happen to anyone else or am I the only one???
5. I put Zoe outside to potty when I got home from work and she just went on the first step and came back into the house. She is even tired of the snow. 
6. Okay so just 1 minute ago after I typed #5 she decided she wanted to go outside to chase the squirrel. 
7. I never cook anything that can't be handled by the microwave or George Foreman grill, but with the weather I feel like making something for real tonight. What should it be?
8. I just want to profess my LOVE for my Mac products! 
9. Saturday we have a wedding to go to and I have this really cute dress I bought on my last shopping trip to wear. 
10. I have bought some clothes lately that I don't yet fit into as motivation to get there this summer to wear them.

Sign up! and Flab!

Today I signed up for my first 5K of the season!

It will be on May 10th! Maybe it will be above 30 degrees by then!

I attempted a couple last year that turned out less than we won't dwell or mention those.

This one is for real.
I have the endurance to run the entire run.
I feel good about it.


I am also considering hiring myself a personal trainer. 

I need to get serious about the problem area on my body.

I am nearing my goal weight....I am within 20 pounds (or 10 if you ask my nurse practitioner) this is still up for discussion. I say 140 she says 150...

Anyways....I need to see if my stomach area can be helped....I know I still have some pounds to take off and it takes a while for the body to catch up. But I am really not happy with this area. So before i make any permanent surgical decisions, I need to try other methods to make sure I can not rid myself of this flab myself!

So I think someone coming up with a plan targeting those areas would be great. Then maybe a session each week to make sure I am on track would be good accountability. 

This doesn't sound fun...even as I type. But it MUST BE DONE! Sometimes we have to do things we don't like to get the results we will love. Right? Right!

I got a fill last Friday. Things feel great! I'm not eating and eating anymore. Hoping this last long enough to get more weight off. Last month was slow. Only had a 3 pound loss....but a loss is still a loss!

I also had to talk about....yes...wait for gas issues!
I have always been a gassy person, but it has been so intense and painful lately. It's also affected my running so something has to be done!
#1 We tried gas X with every meal for a couple days. No luck.
#2 Today I started taking Lactaid with my meal. We are wondering if I am having lactose intolerance since I have always had issues. Since even before surgery. So hoping this is the magic fix!

So if this works, you will hear my joy! I will keep you posted :) Sorry if that was TMI!!

Spending some time out of town shopping with my husband. Needing some new spring and summer clothes since nothing from last year fits us!! That is a good problem to have though! Bought my first size SMALL anything....ever!!!! One of my cute swimsuit cover ups!!!!!

to BE an inspiration

You might say this would be a NSV that I want to achieve.

For me to stay accountable to myself, I want to BE an inspiration to others.

I want others to see what I have done, and believe that they too can do this!

I want others to have this feeling of greatness--to finally lose the weight that is a burden.

There are so many things that change when you lose the weight.

Ten Things!!!!

1. I can't believe it's Thursday already again! Seems like I just did this last week.
2. Tonight I'm going on a bike ride! I love riding my bike!
3. I like watching the Disney Channel!
4. I feel so stalled on my weight loss. I have felt hungry most of the month. Have tried switching up my meals, pumping up my exercise. Still feeling stalled. I'm ready for my doctor appointment next Thursday to talk it out!
5. I started reading the book LBG is promoting about the skinny jeans. Really good so far!
6. I have been eating a lot of pickles lately. They are good and only 5 calories.
7. Is anyone else upset about Shane from Buckwild? I still just can't believe it. He was my favorite on there.
